Fellows Elementary would love to have some mentors/buddies paired with some of their students. We’ve done this for the past ten or so years, and it is highly beneficial. One of Fellows’s school goals is to build a sense of belonging. Connecting a mentor and mentee is one way to accomplish this. Our students LOVE the attention. Typically, the pair would meet at Fellows during our lunch/recess time (10:30 – 1:00) for about 45 minutes a week. Interested students can contact Mrs. Braun at cathy.braun@ames.k12.ia.us.
